Talk around the camp this morning was that there was a croc on the beach. Went down to look for it, but all we could see was a rock that looked like a croc. Got a picture anyway.
Saw this great weather beaten, sun faded, old tree trunk washed up on the beach.
Packed up and spent morning hanging around Simone's souvenir shop where the wifi internet is accessible. Had a good chat with Simone's partner who told us of local politics and getting things done in the NPARC (Northern Peninsular Area Regional Council). Apparently entitlement culture is a big problem as well as nepotism and reverse racism.
At lunch time we went to the supermarket to get ingredients to make some wraps and rode back Loyalty beach. Patsy, the woman running the park sent a message telling us to move our tents under cover as it was expected to rain heavily in the night. There was hut near us already partly occupied by another ex-army type and his wife. He helped us by stringing some tarps as windbreaks. We then spent the afternoon reading. Weather wasn't that bad.
Despite the rain, sounds like you're having a wonderful time. Nyree
